For the First Time, MrBeast Uploads Video Straight to X as the Platform Expands Into Video Content

The whole X team is showing excitement after MrBeast uploaded one of his videos directly on the app. MrBeast, whose real name is Jimmy Donaldson, is one of the most popular YouTubers of all time. He uploaded his first-ever content on X to examine the monetization capacity of the platform.

It happens after a recent meeting of Donaldson with Elon Musk, X’s owner. He explained to Musk that there is little point in uploading his content to X. He said that he is unable to make as much money as he can generate by uploading his content on YouTube.

Before this, Musk and Donaldson had also met at various points where Musk was seen to entice Donaldson to help boost the new video push of the X app. But, in terms of generating revenue, Donaldson revealed that there is no way X will be able to match the earnings that he can generate while using YouTube.

MrBeast reportedly earned from $2 to $4 million per content he uploads on X. However, he uploads content once a week. X’s CEO declared that they paid out around $20 million to all their creators over the past 6 months.

Now, it seems that Musk has persuaded MrBeast to give an edge to his new creator revenue share program. Furthermore, X tried to shout across every channel to endorse its new video-first platform strategy.

Back in September, Donaldson originally uploaded the same content on YouTube where he received over 211 million views. Donaldson says that it’s a test to examine if he can boost his monetization possibility by re-sharing his old content on X.

Musk has repeatedly stated that, on all fronts, he wants to compare his platform with YouTube. He further revealed that X is already near to surpassing YouTube on some features. This, however, may not be possible at this stage, but Musk is optimistic about his success. However, the fact is that the content directly uploaded on X by Donaldson has been seen as a win in many aspects.

Last year, Kris Tyson, one of the members of MrBeast’s crew, appeared as transgender. It’s been reported that Elon Musk has frequently condemned the transgender community through his many posts on X. The notable point here is how Tyson feels about their contribution to this X project of Musk.

Well, it’s all about business for Donaldson, and Elon Musk and his company will promote the video by all means that they can do. They are convincing Donaldson and all other creators to maximize the revenue potential of X.

For exclusive content deals, X also recently announced that several TV stars are signing on the platform. They will come to see releasing new programs directly on the platform.

The main focus of X is to build its video entertainment network. However, it has been reported that the same practice has been done by every other social media platform repeatedly in the past. However, the success rate of this strategy was limited.

But for now, things are pretty different and maybe Donaldson and MrBeast’s crew will participate in this program or strategy. Now, the interesting thing is to see the consequences of this experiment.

To stand out among other social media networks or to attract users’ attention, X repeatedly introduced new features in the app. For example, it recently added a job listings feature with over 750K jobs available in the app.
