The Fortune recently declared that the X is partnering with BetMGM – MGM Resorts International’s online gambling subsidiary.

According to this deal, X soon will display betting odds on the platform. X will display the betting odds along with links that will guide users on how to place bets via BetMGM’s services.

It seems like a questionable match, based on varying ordinances in different regions around online gambling publicity. However, again, we can see that the display of gambling ads and betting odds is already seen in the live event coverages. As X aims to focus on online engagement around live events, the partnership of X with BetMGM makes sense.

The preliminary code for this brief has already been in the back end of the platform, shared by X News Daily. It’s been declared that X will seemingly display different odds elements. However, it would not encourage bets in-stream, which can be a far more significant step.

The most interesting fact about this update is to see what impacts or consequences will come to be because of this integration. Another considerable point is whether X needs to update the regulations and terms to allow for this new initiative.

According to the current X policy regarding gambling content, it indicates that the platform prohibits the promotion of gambling content. However, the case is exceptional for campaigns targeting specific regions where the promotion is allowed under some restrictions.

It’s been seen that the regulatory bodies in the US and even in some other countries are implementing new rules that can restrict sports betting promotions. The reason behind this restriction is to control the potential harm caused by gambling, specifically among young generations.
